CPA
Michael is Vice President of Tax at Evoke Advisors, providing strategic guidance to clients seeking to optimize their tax positions and gain tax efficiencies. His tax career began at Ernst and Young, where he honed his skills in international tax, specifically catering to private equity and hedge funds. This foundational experience equipped him with a comprehensive understanding of complex tax structures and cross-border transactions. After Ernst and Young, Michael assumed the role of Director of Tax at Gerber Kawasaki, a wealth and investment management firm, where he focused on tax planning and compliance.
Michael is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). He received a BA in Accounting from the University at Albany and a master’s degree in business taxation from the University of Southern California.
Outside of his professional endeavors, Michael is deeply committed to his family and community. He resides in West LA with his wife and two children, where they enjoy exploring the vibrant culture and diverse offerings of the city. Michael is also very involved in his synagogue, where he actively participates in community events and initiatives.
